This front Parlour at Central St Martin’s London is constructed entirely from discarded objects, materials, and furniture found within the university and around London city.
In collaboration with Paulo Goldstein, we accumulated this ‘discarded material’, categorised it, deconstructed it and recreated interior elements like an extendable meeting table, chairs, lighting, a door, curtains etc. The project is based on Head of College, Jeremy Tills research into ‘Scarcity’ and the notion of appropriation, redistribution and improvisation.
